CRUNCH PATTERN

Crunch Pattern (from "Teach yourself Visually" Crocheting.)

The foundation chain for this pattern consists of an even number plus 1 for the turning chain.

Row 1: Work 1 slip stitch into the second chain from the hook. * Work 1 half double crochet into the next chain. Work 1 slip stitch into the next chain.  Repeat from the * across the row to the last chain. Work 1 half double crochet into the last chain, chain 1, and turn.

Row 2: Work 1 slip stitch into the first stitch, * Work 1 half double crochet into the next stitch. Work 1 slip stitch into the next stitch. Repeat from the * across the row to the last stitch. Work 1 half double crochet into the last stitch, chain 1, and turn.

Repeat Row 2.

**Notice that you work slip stitches into the half double crochet stitches of the previous row and vice versa.
